Computerized Sewing Machine
With just a simple push of a button you have selected the stitch and the optimum settings for length, width, balance, pressure and tension. With the built-in memory you can combine stitch patterns, alphabets and numbers for endless possibilities.

310 Built-in stitches including alphanumeric, 2 built-in alphabets (block and script)
A large variety of stitches for construction, embroidery, fashion sewing, quilting, heirloom, crafts, home decorating and decorative sewing. Over 1,000 stitch functions.

Automatic Thread Trimmer
Automatically trims the upper and bobbin threads with a touch of a button!

Large Back-Lit LCD Screen
Provides clear and easy viewing of stitch functions including stitch width and length, tension settings, and the recommended presser foot

Four Memory Modules
Four Memory Modules each hold up to 20 entries. Place names, simple phrases and decorative stitch sequences in each of these four modules, then retrieve them anytime you want to personalize your projects.

Mirror Imaging and Elongation Function
With just a touch of a button selected stitches can be mirrored imaged, adding even more stitch variety. Want to make a stitch longer yet keep the stitch intact? Select the Elongation button and select stitches can be made up to 5 times longer.

Electronic Auto Pilot
Unplug the foot control, press the Start button and the machine sews. You are still in complete control over the speed - just slide the Speed Limiting Lever to the desired speed.

Programmable Needle Up/Down
The needle can be programmed to stop in the highest up position when your foot is lifted from the controller, making it easier for removing the fabric from the machine. Or program the needle to stop in the down position, which is ideal for pivoting, appliquéing or quilting.

Heavy Duty Metal Frame
The internal rigid support holds all the mechanisms in perfect alignment for skip-free sewing and overall durability.

Extension Table
Provides a larger working area, an essential for quilting, home decor sewing, or when working with a larger project.

2 Built-In Alphabets
Personalize projects by adding a monogram, name or phrase with the built-in block or script style alphabets, both available in upper and lower case.

Horizontal Threading
Quality stitches begin with proper thread delivery. Placing the thread spool in the horizontal position allows for the thread to feed more evenly, reducing poor stitch formation and thread breakage.

Automatic Needle Threader
Makes threading the eye of the needle quick and painless.

Top Drop-in Bobbin
This mechanism incorporates a magnet-type vertical axis rotating hook that ensures smooth, quiet, thread jam resistant sewing. The bobbin loads from the top, so it is easy to insert the bobbin. The clear cover makes it easy to monitor the bobbin thread supply.

Automatic Bobbin Winding Declutching
The needle bar automatically disengages when winding the bobbin. This keeps the needle from moving up and down while winding the bobbin, therefore making bobbin winding safer.

9 Fully Automatic 1-Step Buttonholes
Buttonhole sewing is a one-step simple process, providing reliable results every time.

Built-In Stretch Stitches
Specially designed stitches that add strength and flexibility to seams, especially useful when sewing on knitwear and super-stretch fabrics

Adjustable Stitch Length
Automatic settings for length can be overridden to personalize length choice.

Adjustable Stitch Width
Automatic settings for width can be overridden to personalize width choice.

Center Zigzag Taper
When tapering with the zigzag stitch, the stitch tapers to the center, not the left or right. This feature is especially valuable when doing appliqué, because it provides a more attractive look when tapering into or out from a point.

Automatic Locking Stitch Function
Tie-off decorative and utility stitches with just a push of a button. Three tiny tacking stitches reinforce patterns and stitches to prevent unraveling.

Automatic Reverse
Push the conveniently located Automatic Reverse Button to sew in reverse and reinforce the stitch.

7mm Stitch Width
Select stitches can be set for a maximum width of 7mm creating attractive satin and decorative stitches.

Electronic Twin Needle Control
Select stitches automatically adjust for twin needle sewing with just the touch of a button.

13 Needle Positions
Needle position can be changed for individual projects like inserting zippers, cording and topstitching.

Editing Capabilities
It’s easy to make changes or replace your selections within the Memory Module.

Error Warning
An audible warning alerts the sewer if something is incorrect. The audible warning can be deactivated, if desired.

Pattern Override Memory
Select a pattern, override the width and/or length, place the stitch in a Memory Module, and the machine will remember those changes for future use.

Sewing Speed
With a maximum sewing speed of 750 stitches-per-minute, projects can be sewn quickly.

Automatic Presser Foot Pressure Control
The amount of pressure exerted on the fabric by the presser foot against the feed dogs is adjusted automatically. Sew from the lightest weight tricots to the heaviest denim, without making presser foot pressure adjustments.

Automatic Tension
This system ensures stable stitch quality regardless of the type of fabric.

Extra-High Presser Foot Lifter
Advantageous when placing multiple layers or bulky fabric under the presser foot

Free Arm
Provides professional results and easy access to cuffs, collars, pant hems and other difficult-to-reach areas

7-Segment Feeding System
This is a specially designed feed dog that ensures that the fabric is picked up and supported from the front of the presser foot to the rear. This provides for much more accurate feeding of the fabric.

Box Feed
This is a function that moves the feed dogs in a box motion, rather than the historic arc motion. Box motion assures perfect feeding throughout the entire feed process, as the feed dogs are always in perfect and equal contact with the fabric and presser foot.

Drop Feed
A conveniently located lever lowers the feed dogs for free-motion embroidery, monograms and button sewing.

Snap-On Presser Feet
Easily change snap-on presser feet without use of a screwdriver.

Thread Cutter
Located on the machine for precise thread cutting, eliminating the extra step of cutting thread with scissors

DC Motor
Provides instant start up and stop with no coasting, for accurate and precise stitch placement.

I love this machine. Review by Kevin

This machine was an upgrade and I chose it for all the bells and whistles which have exceeded all my expectations. The thread cutter alone is a bonus that you rarely see in electronic machines. The lettering, block and script, upper and lower case enables me to be creative with project labels without the need of an embroidery machine. All the extra presser feet, the ability to align distorted stitch patterns and the presser foot presser are also unbelievable bonuses. I love this machine. (Posted on 11/18/2016)

This machine does everything I wanted--and more. I had a 1960's Singer before, and the weight was nice with some heavy fabrics, but I am learning to adjust. This machine has a tone of features, and I'm enjoying it. Learning to use it has been almost like learning to sew again (I am an intermediate sewer that enjoys it and does alot of clothing alterations). I've had many of the issues that the other reviewers have mentioned, but have realized that it's always been operator error. Coming from an old basic machine, this has a ton of adjustments. The manual is only minimally helpful. You have to know what you want to do, but it sews beutifully, has a tone of stitches etc. My only complaint is it doesn't allow enough elongation in some of the basic stitches (like the triple). Sometimes a decorative top stitch can just be altering a basic stitch. It probably does it, but I haven't figured out how to override. (Posted on 4/30/2015)

I was looking for a multi-function machine and this seemed to fit the bill. However it is a piece of junk. Does a lot but does nothing well, Frequent jams and needle breaks. Embroidery stitches very small - letters are awful. Purchased for $699 and a few months later at Tuesday Morning for $299. Guess that tells it all. (Posted on 4/30/2013)

I purchased this thing from HSN in Aug. 2012. I guess the machince sews OK. The machine locks up when bobbin gets low. I think maybe a metal bobbin might correct the problem. I have been unable to find a metal one. The plate is difficult to get off to clean feeders Must have a special screw driver which does not come with the machine. I had a problem with it locking up. I looked at the manual and did what it said. Did not help. The book said to call a 600 number for help. Forget this!!! I called one day at 12:00 noon and I was told by a recording that I was the 4th caller in line. Soi I patiencely waited for 30 mintes, 1 hour, 1 12 hours, 2 hours, 2 12 hours. Finally the message siad I was the next caller in line. After a while I hear a rign and thought good they finally got to me. To my suprise there was another recording that said sue to system problem we cannot take your call (Posted on 2/1/2013)
Worries came True Review by Karen Fox

I was very excited to use all the features of this machine. I had some reservation about buying this product as I had issues with a past Singer product.
I thought Singer was a brand that has been selling sewing machines forever and this machine would surely be great.
I was very Dissappointed as with my very first project (making a simple skirt), my machine bobbin jammed and would not sew. I did my trouble shooting and got the machine going, but it would always jam.
I was unable to return this machine due to my work schedule and life in general, it had been over 90 days since my purchase.
I took this machine to a Singer approved repair shop and received it back with all the stitches in working order.
After getting it home I am a little more satisfied, however, some of the functions still do not work. I will probably never buy another Singer product and am very sad that the money I spent is on a product I am not crazy about. (Posted on 2/1/2013)
Not really impressed Review by Kelly Criss

I bought this machine on HSN when they had it on special. It's a good thing too because if I'd paid full price for it I'd be furiously returning it. The needle threader needs help getting turned all the way through the eye of the needle; the thread cutter cuts great, but doesn't reset for the next seam, so I have to re-set the bobbin completely to get the thread to come up; of the 3 times I've wound a bobbin, one time I had to unroll the whole thing because it didn't wind properly, it was so loose it was loopy. It doesn't have enough heft to hold itself down so just pushing fabric through, it walks away from me. Using the extension table is especially bad because the feet on the table are hard plastic instead of rubber, so it slides all over my sewing table! And that's not even with a quilt! And quite possibly the worst yet is it won't sew through lightweight seams of quilters cotton without me pulling it pretty hard from behind. It just gets stuck right in front of the seam sewing in one spot. Grrrr. If it hadn't been the SECOND one I've tried of the Singer machines from HSN, and also a gift from my husband for our anneversary, I'd probably return it too and go back to a Brother machine. Outside of having all the extra feet and several more decorative stitches, my Brother SQ9000 was a better machine and cost only $200 compared to the $379 I paid for this Singer - on SALE!!! It is now priced at $599, and sold out on HSN, but I imagine they will be getting several returns. For that kind of money, a much much better machine could be found. (Posted on 11/7/2012)

Okay, there is a bit of a story behind this – I have never owned a sewing machine, used several and always got frustrated enough made my decision to not purchase one.
Then HSN offered this one, and I decided I was going to buy one (when I told my husband this, he laughed at me because he knows I do not sew!)
Well it arrived the other day, and I sat down with it and read the instructions…
Guess what?!?!? I CAN sew!!
Love the automatic needle threader and with my old eyes this was a plus I did not know about until I got it! (Due to my husband’s laughter I had to change the channel on the television so did not see a lot of the perks!) . Enjoy the speeds due to I can go S – L – O – W when I need to.
Thought when this came in, I would end up packing it up and sending it back, NOT HAPPENING!
Just don’t tell my family I can sew now! (Posted on 7/7/2012)

Ordered this from HSN. I love this machine. I've been sewing for years and this machine was just the one to get me started once again. It is easy to use, even with all the functions that it offers. Started sewing with it right out of the box. It offers so many stitch patterns and you can adjust many of them to get larger. Ease of use was what I was after and this machine offers just that. Whatever your level of sewing is, you will love this Singer!
The one thing I wish it came with the instruction CD. Book is kind of hard to use.

Also bought from HSN and did not use until this year. Same problems with the bobbin thread bunching up cannot use at all and will have to pay to fix. Is this a fault with the machine or with those coming from HSN. In other words is Singer sending faulty products to be sold on HSN? (Posted on 12/1/00-1)

The alphabet is a waste of timemoney. This is my third Singer and I've used them for over 50 yrs for my sewing. This machine is good but the when using med-high speed the bobbin jumps the shuttle inside and you have to stop and reinsert the bobbin again. It also has a spasm and stitches over the same stitches (as if you are using the reverse over and over). There's a design flaw here.
Also the Cut & Hem foot is a joke because you have to clip your fabric and wind it thru the foot before sewing. This foot was promoted as a serger"...well this will not go around corners or handle heavy fabrics. This is very misleading. I notice they are adding this foot with a lot of other packages (Posted on 12/1/00-1)

I received this machine 1 week ago and I am having so much fun learning all the stitches and features offered. Having so many feet that will do so many things is going to help me to be more creative with crafts and costumes along with many other sewing projects. I look forward to many years of sewing with a machine that has a quality name like Singer. (Posted on 12/1/00-1)

The screwdrivers cannot easily fit into the screws on the presser foot plate for maintenance. The needle threader is cheaply designed also. I bought this machine from HSN last year but had not taken it out the box until this week. Needle threader is difficult compared to my other machine. My biggest issue is the bobbin jamming up. I tried everything over and over until I just put it back in the box. I did everything that was suggested to try on the web site. Didn't get to sew anything because of the jamming up. I was using the needle and bobbin that came with the machine and a quality thread. The needle wouildn't even pick up the bobbin thread, and I somehow manually got the thread up. Will not purchase anymore Singer products. This used to be the only brand I would use. Can't send it back because of the time expiration, so I will have to pay to have it fixed by a repair shop locally. (Posted on 12/1/00-1)

Like other reviews having trouble with bobbin binding up, feed dog button not working properly which is no good for a quilter trying to machine quilt. Can't unscrew plate to try to clear out jam. Purchased machine from Costco.com last November-went with Singer primarily because of reputation. Well, I'd say to me that reputation is tarnished. (Posted on 12/1/00-1)
