The SINGER® PROFESSIONAL™ sewing machine provides endless opportunities to add extra flair to all kinds of projects. From custom pillows to one-of-a-kind garments, this machine gives sewers the ability to create and personalize with ease.

Over 1,000 Stitch Functions
Select from over 1,000 Stitch Functions. Fulfill your creative dreams with a large selection of decorative stitches, alphabet stitches, and construction stitches.

Large Back-Lit LCD Screen
Provides clear and easy viewing of stitch functions including stitch width and length, tension settings, and the recommended presser foot

Four Memory Modules
Four Memory Modules each hold up to 20 entries. Place names, simple phrases and decorative stitch sequences in each of these four modules, then retrieve them anytime you want to personalize your projects.

Mirror Imaging and Elongation Function
With just a touch of a button selected stitches can be mirrored imaged, adding even more stitch variety. Want to make a stitch longer yet keep the stitch intact? Select the Elongation button and select stitches can be made up to 5 times longer.

Electronic Auto Pilot
Unplug the foot control, press the Start button and the machine sews. You are still in complete control over the speed - just slide the Speed Limiting Lever to the desired speed.

Programmable Needle Up/Down
The needle can be programmed to stop in the highest up position when your foot is lifted from the controller, making it easier for removing the fabric from the machine. Or program the needle to stop in the down position, which is ideal for pivoting, appliquéing or quilting.

Heavy Duty Metal Frame
The internal rigid support holds all the mechanisms in perfect alignment for skip-free sewing and overall durability.

Extension Table
Provides a larger working area, an essential for quilting, home decor sewing, or when working with a larger project.

2 Built-In Alphabets
Personalize projects by adding a monogram, name or phrase with the built-in block or script style alphabets, both available in upper and lower case.

Horizontal Threading
Quality stitches begin with proper thread delivery. Placing the thread spool in the horizontal position allows for the thread to feed more evenly, reducing poor stitch formation and thread breakage.

Automatic Needle Threader
Makes threading the eye of the needle quick and painless.

Top Drop-in Bobbin
This mechanism incorporates a magnet-type vertical axis rotating hook that ensures smooth, quiet, thread jam resistant sewing. The bobbin loads from the top, so it is easy to insert the bobbin. The clear cover makes it easy to monitor the bobbin thread supply.

Automatic Bobbin Winding Declutching
The needle bar automatically disengages when winding the bobbin. This keeps the needle from moving up and down while winding the bobbin, therefore making bobbin winding safer.

9 Fully Automatic 1-Step Buttonholes
Buttonhole sewing is a one-step simple process, providing reliable results every time.

Built-In Stretch Stitches
Specially designed stitches that add strength and flexibility to seams, especially useful when sewing on knitwear and super-stretch fabrics

Adjustable Stitch Length
Automatic settings for length can be overridden to personalize length choice.

Adjustable Stitch Width
Automatic settings for width can be overridden to personalize width choice.

Center Zigzag Taper
When tapering with the zigzag stitch, the stitch tapers to the center, not the left or right. This feature is especially valuable when doing appliqué, because it provides a more attractive look when tapering into or out from a point.

Automatic Locking Stitch Function
Tie-off decorative and utility stitches with just a push of a button. Three tiny tacking stitches reinforce patterns and stitches to prevent unraveling.

Automatic Reverse
Push the conveniently located Automatic Reverse Button to sew in reverse and reinforce the stitch.

7mm Stitch Width
Select stitches can be set for a maximum width of 7mm creating attractive satin and decorative stitches.

Electronic Twin Needle Control
Select stitches automatically adjust for twin needle sewing with just the touch of a button.

13 Needle Positions
Needle position can be changed for individual projects like inserting zippers, cording and topstitching.

Editing Capabilities
It’s easy to make changes or replace your selections within the Memory Module.

Error Warning
An audible warning alerts the sewer if something is incorrect. The audible warning can be deactivated, if desired.

Pattern Override Memory
Select a pattern, override the width and/or length, place the stitch in a Memory Module, and the machine will remember those changes for future use.

Sewing Speed
With a maximum sewing speed of 750 stitches-per-minute, projects can be sewn quickly.

Automatic Presser Foot Pressure Control
The amount of pressure exerted on the fabric by the presser foot against the feed dogs is adjusted automatically. Sew from the lightest weight tricots to the heaviest denim, without making presser foot pressure adjustments.

Automatic Tension
This system ensures stable stitch quality regardless of the type of fabric.

Extra-High Presser Foot Lifter
Advantageous when placing multiple layers or bulky fabric under the presser foot

Free Arm
Provides professional results and easy access to cuffs, collars, pant hems and other difficult-to-reach areas

7-Segment Feeding System
This is a specially designed feed dog that ensures that the fabric is picked up and supported from the front of the presser foot to the rear. This provides for much more accurate feeding of the fabric.

Box Feed
This is a function that moves the feed dogs in a box motion, rather than the historic arc motion. Box motion assures perfect feeding throughout the entire feed process, as the feed dogs are always in perfect and equal contact with the fabric and presser foot.

Drop Feed
A conveniently located lever lowers the feed dogs for free-motion embroidery, monograms and button sewing.

Snap-On Presser Feet
Easily change snap-on presser feet without use of a screwdriver.

Thread Cutter
Located on the machine for precise thread cutting, eliminating the extra step of cutting thread with scissors

DC Motor
Provides instant start up and stop with no coasting, for accurate and precise stitch placement.

Standard Accessories
All-Purpose Foot, Zipper Foot, Buttonhole Foot, Blind Hem Foot, Satin Stitch Foot, Overcasting Foot, Darning & Embroidery Foot, Gathering Foot, Rolled Hem Foot, Button Sewing Foot, Edge/Quilting Guide, Pack of Needles, Bobbins, Thread Spool Caps, Auxiliary Spool Pin, Spool Pin Felt, Screwdrivers, Brush/Seam Ripper, Soft-Sided Dust Cover, Extension Table

Had some trouble first week of use trying to applique, all of the applique stitches were skipping stitches and it would jam in a minute. All of the other stitches performed perfectly so i moved away from it and just spent time enjoying the machine! I love the build of the inside because a tangle doesnt mess up your hook timing like another brand i had. Its screwed in tight so you dont ever need to replace your bobbin case. With starch the fabrics dont usually catch anyway but when it does theres not a big ball of thread underneath like other machines. It runs smoothly and i enjoy it soo much!! I LOVE hemming all my tops shorter and the hemming stitches look exactly like the stores and i dont need a twin needle for them which is great beacuse my other machine bound up every time i used a twin and i had to throw my project away. I make bags and zipper pouches with fuzable fleece and it has no trouble at all. It feeds through the foot evenly whereas my other one always pulled sideways and the foot was crooked and wobbly. I just LOVE this machine. Someday ill try applique stitching again maybe with some extra starch or thin support, until then im having the time of my life!! (Posted on 1/7/2016)

I would have giving this a 5star rating but because of the bobbin cover. Have a problem with having it to stay on or inserted.Any ideas as to why this is? Otherwise, this is a great little machine and can't wait to use all other features! (Posted on 7/14/2015)

I absolutely LOVE my new Singer 9100 that my husband bought me!! Although I have yet to use ALL of the stitch patterns & functions, the ones I have experimented & sewn with have worked like a dream. This is a great value for the money. The only negatives I have found so far are (1) the automatic threader takes some practice to learn to use properly and (2) I wish it was possible to increase the size of the alphabet stitches......7mm is where it is set & it is not possible to make the letters larger or do a classic monogram. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the purchase of this machine. (Posted on 4/29/2015)

As an experienced sewer and computer user, I was confident that I would not have a problem using the electronic 9100 model. I was wrong. After working with it off and on for over a week, I concluded that the machine just needed a 'breaking in' . Finally I was able to fill and thread the bobbin and thread the upper thread. The automatic needle threader is not as easy as advertised . I have now mastered straight and zigzag stitches. I am confident that I will soon 'graduate' to the decorative settings. In summary, my advice to others is if you are a novice, do not buy this machine. Stay with the simpler models. If you have done a lot of sewing, be patient and work through the steps, you too can do it. . (Posted on 4/1/2015)

I like all the new features of my machine, but, I wish you could elongate some of the fancier stitches. There is a stitch that looks live a wave and I would like to use it on a quilt, but it is not long and wide enough. Great machine and simple to use. Still learning all the great features. Not expensive and affordable. (Posted on 1/4/2015)

i may only be a beginner. self taught and learned most stuff off youtube, but this machine is so easy to use, i feel like a professional.
it was a gift from my boyfriend and is the first machine i have owned.
i had no clue what i was doing when i started. this machine is definitely out of my league. it has so many options and functions I'm going to take a long time to learn them all. but i found it so easy to do basics, like hemming, quilting, crafts, buttons, zips, etc. can't wait to be able to learn more with it.

the only confusing part for me at the moment is thread tension.
but i guess experience will fix that one.

i would highly recommend it. love love love (Posted on 8/10/2014)

From Spandex to Leather, this machine has stood up to any kind of beating I can throw at it. Maybe not a good choice for a beginner, machine has rather advanced functions for what it is. If you like to make your own clothes, or even an avid quilter I would Recommend this machine. I just did the interior of my car in automotive grade napa leather without one skipped stitch. got my machine today and really am amazed at how easy it is to operate it and how smooth it runs. I also have 2 Janome's machines, and I can honestly say, this machine runs just as good or better. I plan to use it for making quilt tops and also quilt bindings. it is also very sturdy and does not shake and jump when I put the peddle to the meddle. I know I will enjoy this little jewel.. I am retired and just wanted a machine to do a few repairs. When I got the machine and used it, it was so easy. I started sewing and haven,t stopped. The stitches are great and with the built in cards to see all the stitches, it is just a joy to use. I used to have my own business and I would consider myself a professional. I sue fast and on all materials and this machine has not hesitated. I just love it! (Posted on 3/20/2014)

I was so excited to get this machine! I don't need a million bazillion embroidery patterns. Just something to add a little touch of class. I started on bags and the basic stitches are awesome! Love the machine and was so exicted to embroider..... then the problems started. Basic stitches are perfect, then making the sugested changes in the trouble shooting guide, and I still can't get the top layer lay flat! Snags, pulls missed stiches, you name it, it hapened. I've followed suggested fix and nothing has helped. And since this is a new machine, there aren't any videos or reviews on it. Most of the videos are for other machines. I want something specific to this machine. Im going to rethread the machine and use high quality embroidery thread tonight as my last resort. If I can't get any good results, back to the store this will go. (Posted on 3/6/2014)

I love using this machine. It's actually very user friendly. I was a little overwhelmed after using my old mechanical machine, but found it very easy. I'm only giving this machine 4 stars, however, because it's NOT easy to thread the needle. I find it easier to use it the 'old fashioned way'. In fact, I'm afraid that I'll break the threader because I can't get the needle to thread. Also, the light is very small and dim. I expected more lighting and there isn't. I had to add more lighting myself. I think both of these issues could be a very easy fix for Singer. (Posted on 3/3/2014)

I bought this machine to replace an old Singer 6217c, which was my grandmother's, until I could get it repaired. I was leery about getting a computerized machine but I sure am glad that I did! Haven't used the machine a lot, but so far it's doing well. Had a problem with the bobbin at one point, primarily in that it was winding the threat too loosely on the spool and it seemed to affect how it fed during operation. Got that worked out. My wife shortened a pair of my jeans and had to sew over some thick seams and it did quite well. In an earlier review on Amazon I neglected to note that the instruction book is very well written and easy to follow and find specific items. Great job there. So far so good. (Posted on 2/4/2014)

I have had trouble with this machine since I got it. It was a Christmas gift an I was so excited. I immediately started using it and I noticed that when I was using many of the stitches they weren't coming out right. I thought that it was the tension so I spent days trying to get it right. Eventually I quit trying to use the stitches because it just wasn't working. I decided to use it to work on my quilting projects. Again my stitches were not right. They were terrible. I did everything the manual said to do, I bought many different needles, many different threads, but I really think the issue is with the bobbin. While I sew the bobbin goes crazy and then a bunch of thread gets sucked up and my projects get ruined. I emailed Singer telling them I was very upset, a week and a half later they got back to me only to tell me to do the exact same things I already did, which is in the manual. I got it as a gift so I have no receipt, if I could return it I would, but I can't. So all I have now is a very expensive bobbin winder. (Posted on 1/26/2014)

Was so excited to get my new machine. I carefully followed all advice in owner's manual. Then started the problems with the bobbins, thread, & dropped stitches. I used the bobbins sent...took forever to finally get the thread to draw up properly...usually 5-6 tries. Even with re-threading the top numerous times, the tension was not right & created an ugly mess on the underside of a quilt I was putting together. I'm returning it to the store. Have already ordered a different machine. (Posted on 5/24/2011)
